Last 14th to 17th May, AIJU attended the “2nd Green and Sustainable Chemistry Conference”, held in Berlin, to present and update the results achieved within the European Project LIFE13 ENV/ES/000173 GREENZO “Demonstrative pilot plant for the material valorisation of non-ferrous metal waste”. This action is included within the dissemination ones enabling the deployment in the market of the project outputs.
In this edition of the congress, plenary seasons were held. In them, the results of research project from more than 100 working groups of international scope, all of them related with applications of Green Chemistry in the field of industrial processes sustainability were exposed. This information provides support to the activities that, from AIJU, are being held in the field of industrial sustainability.
Concerning the European project LIFE+ GREENZO, led by AIJU with the participation of ITQ-CSIC and the SMEs “CAUCHOS KAREY, S.A.” and “WORTEUROP, S.L.”, many signs of interest arose concerning the potential applications of zinc oxide (ZnO) obtained as, i.e., catalysers support in the treatment of sewage waters by the “Beijing University of Chemical Technology”.
