The last advances of the GREENZO Project are presented in the second edition of ‘Destaca’ Fair.

‘Destaca’ is one of the most important fairs in the Valencian Community devoted to transfer scientific and technological knowledge. It was held from 23rd till 25th November in the Centre of Congresses, Fairs and Match events of Villareal (Castellón) and it put in contact research centres and universities with related innovative organisations.

The main objective of the fair is to achieve advances in the products and process’ quality and to generate concerns for the diversification of the industry, promoting the encounter among researchers, technicians and entrepreneurs and enhancing the relationship university-organisation and national and international research centres.

In this year’s edition, professionals of recognized prestige were invited as speakers. Among others need to be highlighted PhD. Avelino Corma, Prince of Asturias Award for Scientific and Technical Research 2014; PhD. Hermenegildo García, Jaime I Award for New Technologies 2016 and PhD. Jaime Primo, Director of the Centre for Agricultural Ecology at the UPV and co-founder of the Institute of Chemical Technology UPV-CSIC.

Inside the stand that the Institute of Chemical Technology Institute UPV-CSIC installed in the Fair the presentation and dissemination of the last advances carried out in the GREENZO project was held. To highlight the good results achieved in the production of hydrogen by reformed ethanol which uses recycled ZnO as a catalytic support.

Visitors from the academic and industrial scope related with the valorisation of industrial waste and the use of renewables energies showed great interest for the results achieved in this project.
